BOOK BAG PROJECT
BRIEF
A freelance project created for the Utopia Foundation with Nelson Mandela University. We were tasked with conceptualising and designing a book bag campaign that would reach out to underprivileged schools in the Eastern Cape province. We needed to create several card inserts that would go into a cotton tote bag, cohesively branded and designed to capture the attention of children, teens, parents and teachers - whilst stimulating their imagination, too.

SOLUTION
We created a vibrant illustrative campaign featuring patterns, symbols and imagery representative of South Africa and the Eastern Cape. We illustrated families, children and friends interacting, and placed this in conjunction with warm and lively colours. Each piece in the campaign can stand alone as an artwork that the recipient can enjoy, whilst tying in seamlessly with the other pieces.
